Presenter: Stephanie Adams, Dorchester County Public Schools

Session Title:  Accessibility: Why it’s important!

Session Description: Always making sure that things in our classrooms are accessible to all learners is the right thing to do, but do we always do it? Let’s dive into some examples of why accessibility is important. While we are being mindful of our learners that need some assistance, we may just help all learners be successful.

Presenter Bio:  Stephanie graduated from UMES in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the area of Special Education. She received her Master's of Education Degree in 2008 from Salisbury University and began teaching special education in Dorchester County. Stephanie taught special education for a total of 9 years, followed by Technology Education at a PreK-8 school for 3 years. In 2013, she began her current position of Ed Tech Coach for secondary schools. This is her 10th year in this position. As a coach, Stephanie helps teachers with integrating EdTech tools such as Schoology, PowerSchool, Office365, Google Workspace for Education, and more. In addition to her coaching duties, she is the webmaster for the DCPS website.
